The Birdsboro VFW Memorial Post #411 was chartered on September 7th 1976 and was housed in the Robeson Hotel near the town of Gibraltar. In 1984 it moved to its present location. The club paid off its mortgage in I998 and has made considerable improvements to the building. The club built a pavilion to the rear of the main building and has the capability of seating 200 people, for catered meals or parties. Birdsboro Memorial has been an active supporter of youth sports, and community projects. The club donates in excess of $8000.00 back to the community per year. We have a Memorial Day Parade in conjunction with our local American Legion. The club holds an annual Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Party for its members children. We have breakfasts open to the public every second Sunday of the month, and from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. every Friday and Saturday we serve meals also open to the public. Our primary goal is to support and maintain a working relationship with our community and our troops over seas. We presently have adopted two battalions over in Iraq and we have local men serving in those battalions who we communicate with and try to help with their needs. We are constantly looking for new members and help with our efforts to support others.
The following lists of Officers are always around to answer any questions or comments that citizens and community leaden may have.
